Art Ellingsen, a native of Chicago, is a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, who was gloriously saved while in High School, and got very serious with the Lord in San Deigo in the months prior to the Navy sending him to Vietnam. During the first 75% of his life was very involved in college campus ministry and Evangelizing Jewish people, since at least ten percent of his high school class was Jewish. In his 20’s he was Founding Pastor of a church in Streator, IL and later served on staff of another church in Skokie, IL, Chicago’s most Jewish suburb. Since 2011, however, his focus has shifted to evangelizing Muslims.
Currently he serves as Treasurer or Finance Officer of three Veterans Service Organizations and two Christian Ministries, including Tifaouin Ministry which focuses on sharing the Gospel with people living in Morocco and Northern Africa.
He currently resides in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, where he is still connected to a Messianic Synagogue and works to help homeless Veterans exit from homelessness and learn marketable skills for live in the Civilian World.
